Newly remodeled, always good service, and I love the seafood bake and of course the biscuits. Im not into chain restaurants but Red Lobster is the best!

Went here for my oldest son's 8th birthday and were met with incredibly slow, indifferent service from our server and poor customer service from the manager. A family of 6 shouldn't have to wait over an hour for food under any circumstances. The place was virtually empty, making the slow delivery of food a clear sign of something amiss. Additionally, an item clearly noted as $17.99 on the menu was charged at $22.99. When the discrepancy was noted, the server was sent back to the table by the MANAGER to show us a slip of paper that showed the $22.99 price (oh, that wasn't given to us and didn't see until that very moment). The point is, any manager with a clue would have immediately changed the price and apologized for the inconvenience. Not so with this sorry excuse for a manager. Never. Going. Back. I'd suggest avoiding this place like the plague.

"Ky?" (My dad jumps out in front of me. He's clad in an orange sweatsuit, head to toe. It's a disgusting orange. Like the color of Syracuse's athletic teams). "I got my Red Lobster outfit on. Want to go?" (He then starts flexing like a goddamn professional wrestler). I love my dad. I love his odd sense of humor and his self awareness. I even love going with him to Red Lobster when his 210-pound frame is clad in his solid orange feeding suit that "hides the butter stains." The two of us have been going to Red Lobster since I was a kid. Dad didn't always wear the orange sweat suit, but I wish he did. It's where we'd talk football and eat an abundance of fried, fish-like products, free of the world's judgmental stares. We went back a few months ago, and we both left feeling ill. "I don't remember this place being this bad," I said. "It's always been this bad, but it's fun, no?" he said. He's absolutely correct. Red Lobster along with a few places other places, particularly in the thumb area of Michigan, are just a handful of restaurants that may not serve the best food, but have a sentimental meaning. Dining with loved ones is what it's all about. Even if it's at a place like Red Lobster.

The staff here is wonderful. They make your visit quite enjoyable. The food has always been great. You are greeted promptly usually by Angie during the day. Waitstaff is friendly and food is served hot and fresh. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits are the best. Always pleased

I don't go to red lobster a lot since I'm a vegetarian, however it was for my brother-in-law's birthday and his choice for dinner. The service was awesome and the waiter was very accommodating to my restrictions. One of the best and most friendly waiters I've ever met. And the food was excellent on top of that.

I was a lucky yelper chosen to attend an event at this locale and the experience was awesome! The staff and service is something you will notice first. Friendly smiles greet you. This is something that can make or break an experience and these guys have got it down. Helpful, not overly in your face, snatching things up in the nick of time, and replenishing your needs often. Hands down..excellent service! The food...the food the food the food! We were treated to several new menu items. Wow! Delicious! I have to admit, I hadn't been to a Red Lobster in a couple of years, and can guarantee I won't stay away so long anymore. They truly had some fun and fancy dishes to serve up. Along with the new nautical decor and food items, I'd say you simply cannot go wrong if you stop in at Red Lobster! ENJOY! :)

I'll review a big chain if a given location stands out from the rest. My family and I have been here several times (we all love seafood) and have always enjoyed our food here. Their lobster, crab and/or shrimp dishes have always been done very well. Some of my favs here: - Lobster Lover's dream (when they have it) - King Crab (one of their best dishes) - Dozen Raw Oysters (good quality oysters - good taste) - several snow crab and shrimp dishes

Yep , 5 stars for a chain..yes indeed! Ive frequented to Red Lobsters at 12 & John R, Frazho & Hoover & Lakeside, but this was our 1st visit to the Rochester Hills location Truly a 5 start greeting , from this super personable hostess, and altho the lot was packed at 1:30 on a Sunday, we were very promptly seated, plus they had 2-3 runners to seat you. Collin was our server, very kind, polite & new the menu & sides inside out, we both chose the 30 shrimp for $11. I selected the scampi & the original fried shrimp, with grilled veggies & a Caesar salad, ** Collin swapped out the veggies for a baked potato, as the veggies were out of season & flavorless. The Bride selected Original Shrimp & Parmesan encrusted shrimp, house salad & rice, the only thing else she needed was tarter, which he brought . Love the bite of the seasoning of their cocktail sauce. No red flags or problems, such a very nice Red Lobster, well staffed, clean & efficient

Came here for a Yelp event, and it was fantastic! We were treated to drinks (Mai Tai and a Pina Colada for me - yum), Red Lobster's signature cheddar biscuits, a ton of main dishes, and fantastic desserts. I'm actually not a seafood person but my dad loves Red Lobster, so when I got the invite I knew I had to RSVP - and I was pleasantly surprised. I think my faves were the biscuits, fried green beans, and the chicken alfredo. I also won a $25 gift card by tweeting and Instagramming with the #tasteRL hashtag, so that was a nice bonus! When we left the restaurant, we got tote bags with free appetizer coupons, as well. Apparently the restaurant has done a renovation lately, and it looked really nice. It's clean with an open floor plan, and the waitstaff was very attentive and great.

Went again tonight and the service sucked. She messed up my father in laws order and refills just didn't happen. Look, you have a 7 top and that means a $35 tip and nearly a $200 bill, so we shouldn't have to beg for coffee or drinks. Also, I got really sick 20 minutes into eating my food and spent a half hour in the bathroom. Ugh!!!

The waitress named Shannon was rude and careless. More powerful staff training should be determined.

I used to like Red Lobster but my most recent experiences have me rethinking if the food is worth the struggle. The cheddar bay biscuits I used to like are declining in quality and now the waitstaff seems to be poorly trained. Now I wonder how do poorly trained, rude people survive in face-to-face service industries when part of their wages are tip dependent? The lobster pizza is lackluster, the lobster being quite small and very dry. I do not recommend it. At least one employee does not seem to understand the definition of "endless." I, for one, do not order "endless" anything if I only plan on eating only what is brought on the first plate. The waitress asked if we wanted dessert. She never once asked if we wanted any more shrimp. Wha? I thought it was called "endless shrimp" for a reason. Something about this situation does not make any sense to me. I understand that you probably don't want to keep coming back to my table for refills, but basically dropping off a plate and running away is not going to help me empathize with you either. Service is already slow, so I did not have time to wait for her to possibly show up 10 minutes later. It was around 2 pm and there were not a lot of customers. Add on a manager that has bad customer service skills, so now I do not wonder why the waitstaff member was rude.

We attended the Yelp Elite event this week, and truly, everything they served us was very good, but my personal favorites were the Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Crispy Green Beans, Sweet Chili Shrimp, Portofino Seafood Bake, Tilapia with Roasted Vegetables, and of course, all of the desserts. Add to that my husband's favorites - the Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms and the Wood-Grilled Tacos. The restaurant is large but broken into smaller seating areas. Each area is ringed by booths, and the larger rooms have tables in the center. The bar area is very comfortable. Recent remodeling is muted seaside, very tasteful. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and professional, and seemed to be personally proud to work there.

Excellent meal. On the pricey side but I knew that going in. The place was packed, but there was a good turn over ratio so it the wait went fast.

I was the lucky receiver of a guest invite to attend a "Yelp Event" at Red Lobster. I will have to admit, I have been to this venue before, just not this location and have been pleased. I really wanted to see what this whole Yelp thing was all about since I was clueless and this was my first opportunity to review. It was fabulous. We were greeted with smiles and sat down to a vast menu of drink choices that were served up quickly by our personal server Tim. The food was extremely tasty from fried green beans, this is a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables, to some succulent tilapia, only to finish it with some sweet and savory cheesecake with just the right amount of caramel drizzle. My belly was full and I was more than satisfied with the experience. I will definitely considering stopping in next time I drive by this establishment knowing whats inside waiting for me. Smiling faces and wonderful food, what more could someone ask for. Congrats Yelp for introducing me to some new people I met at the event (Jason) to a fun night out.

On a busy Saturday night, the wait time for my family was less than 20 minutes! I shouldn't be surprised, considering that this restaurant is located in a not too busy area, and is considerably larger than some other Red Lobsters I have been too. The service here is fantastic; our waiter was really quick with our orders and drink refills. If you want seafood on a weekend night, go here to avoid a long wait.

The first impression kind of set the tone...there were numerous clean tables open but we were still told it would be a 10 minute wait. Service was friendly but slow. Food took a long time to receive and plates weren't cleared in a timely manner. Chicken was rubbery, over cooked. Good thing we had a gift card to use up.

Well, let me start by saying why we came here, I had gotten married in the courthouse down the street and this place was close by, so we opted for this for lunch. The waitress, umm...overly super stoked about my wedding, more so than I was. Don't get me wrong, she was nice and friendly and all, but a little in your face and lingered a bit too long at the table going over every single menu they had to offer. I just wanted to get a drink and celebrate with my friends. After about 15 mins of menu orientation, we got to order and enjoy. The Long Island Iced Tea knocked me on my butt..oh yeah! My Shrimp Trio, delish! The salad and chedda' rolls..yum-oh! We all had a good time there and the ever so helpful waitress got a kudos from us.

I come here for lunch every other week with my mother and grandfather, and it really is hard to get a bad meal. I still remember when Red Lobster was the home of corny fish decorations and nothing but fried fish, but now you can get really excellent food here! My absolute favorite had to be tilapia, which was roasted in a parchment bag with a pile of seasonal vegetables - unfortunately that dropped off the menu a few months ago, but if it ever appears again I will definitely be ordering it! Meanwhile I have fallen in love with the Maui Grilled Salmon & Shrimp, which is sweet and spicy, comes with rice and a slice of grilled pineapple....mmmm, heavenly. I have made the occasional misstep in ordering and wound up getting too much goopy sauce, which is a pet peeve of mine. But, I have never had ANY seafood that was over- or under-cooked; everything has been the perfect consistency, every time. The salads are pretty lame (the usual chain restaurant pile of iceberg lettuce with one cherry tomato and a slice of cucumber) but their soups are delicious. I love the gumbo, but my dining companions swear by the clam chowder. The service is almost always top notch, and we put them through their paces. My grandfather is 90 yrs old and suffers from dementia, so it's very important that his meal comes just the way he wants it, every time. They've made a few very minor screwups but overall they handle his (somewhat odd) orders extremely well. They're always friendly and very accomodating. The only thing is, they seem to seat us in the farthest booth from the door about 75% of the time....my mom has knee problems and shuffles along slowly, plus my grandfather is even slower at age 90....if you saw this group coming, would you seriously take them on the longest hike possible? Overall it's excellent, and I look forward to my yummy lunch every other week! I LOVE seafood and they do a very nice job.

What a nice bar and very friendly staff. It gets very crowded so go late are early. The movie theater is very close so I suggest after a movie stop in and dine. It is a Red Lobster so nothing really pops out but it is very kid friendly and has a great staff.
